This is Alvin (Junior) Forbes and Hainsley Forbes from Black River, St. Elizabeth, Jamaica. We, along with our siblings are appealing to you for help.

We write to you with heavy hearts and a deep sense of urgency. Hurricane Melissa has devastated our community in Black River, St. Elizabeth, Jamaica, and our beloved family home has suffered catastrophic damage.

The storm ripped through our neighborhood with unimaginable force. Our roof was completely torn off, windows and doors shattered, and the interior of our home left exposed to the elements. Furniture, appliances, and our electrical system have been destroyed. What was once a sanctuary filled with generations of love, laughter, and cherished memories is now uninhabitable.

This is more than a house; it’s the heart of our family. Rebuilding will require extensive repairs, new furnishings, and restoration of basic utilities. The financial burden is overwhelming, and we cannot do it alone.

We are humbly asking for your help. Every donation, no matter the size, will go directly toward restoring our home.
