Hurricane Harvey Flooding - Houston

Everyone, I come to you humbly with tear-filled eyes begging for your help. 

I was born and raised on Galveston Island in Texas, and my family (Grandmother, Grandfather, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and their Children) all live in the surrounding areas of Houston - Texas City, LaMarque, Friendswood, Santa Fe & Dickinson (the area hardest hit by Hurricane Harvey).

I have never felt so helpless as I have while being on the phone with them as chest-level flood waters consumed their homes, destroying all of their belongings, and they grabbed their children and retreated to their attics.

I still have family members surrounded by rising water with no way out of their homes… my little brother, Lance, being one of them.

Although I cannot be there now, it is not within myself to stand by idly… in 6 days, on Sunday evening, my Mother and I will be taking reinforcements to Texas.

We plan to rent the biggest Moving Truck we can find, and taking as much Water, Non-Perishables, Furniture and Appliances to help rebuild as possible… we cannot do this alone.

Make no mistake, this is not simply to help MY family… we will be helping families along the way, and every family in the community we are headed to.

We are asking for ANY/ALL donations of the previously listed items… aside from the Water and Non-Perishables, you have no idea how much Furniture and Appliances will help people feel as though they still have a “home” to go back to, they literally lost EVERYTHING.

I beg you, if you have anything taking up room in your garage, we will GLADLY take it with us to Texas.

Personally I have a TV, Couch, Loveseat, Bed, Dresser, Side Tables and Chest of Drawers that I will be donating.

My Fiancé, Mother and I will be doing some ‘extreme couponing’ to maximize our ability to take Water and Non-Perishables to Texas; and have setup a GoFundMe account for anyone wishing to donate Money towards Water, Non-Perishables and to help offset Gas and Truck Rental expenses.

Although it took a catastrophe to make it happen, nothing makes me more proud than seeing people working together to SAVE one another regardless of race, religion or political beliefs… we are all ONE!!!

For those of you that do not know me personally, I am the Owner of Fight Team LLC in Tampa, FL… I will be trying to fill the 20ft MMA Cage in the gym with everything we can gather in the next 6 days.

Any and all items can be dropped off at the BACK of the gym, located at 5555 W. Linebaugh Ave. #103… I will have tarps there just incase I am not there at the time of delivery.

I will be asking my Fighters to keep things moving in the right direction at the gym in my absence, and thank you all in advance; I absolutely HAVE to do this… you all are the Family I got to CHOOSE and I love you for your loyalty; right now the Family I was BORN to, needs me.

May God bless everyone effected by this catastrophic event… I pray that he keeps my Mother and I safe on our journey to our Family and I promise to positively effect and/or save every life I can in route!
