Huntington Beach Home Destroyed

Donation protected
On July 4th at  about 11:30 PM Harold and Joan Leveen were victims of what appeared to be a fireworks accident. A fire started in the carport of their Huntington Beach condominium, and quickly spread into five adjacent condominium units. Seven cars were destroyed beyond repair, several of which exploded. Most of these units are a total loss, and there are many thousands of dollars in sentimental and non-replaceable items. Their home was the second unit, a 2 story home. Water from the fire hoses has rendered everything unsalvageable.  Harold and Joan’s personal vehicle was one of the vehicles that exploded in the fire. The vehicle was paid off and the insurance company will only replace the value of a 2008 Toyota Camry. For an elderly couple with no savings and minimal insurance this event is proving to be a stressor beyond comprehension. We are taking this fight to our friends and family for any help, any help at all to get our parents back on their feet and in stable, safe and comfortable living quarters. The Leveens are elderly, on a fixed income and in poor health. They are on a substantial amount of medication as well.  This accident has displaced them for the foreseeable future. We urge all of you to share this on your social media pages and forward to friends and family. Every little bit helps and we appreciate your thoughts and concerns.
