Well, my poetry book is about finished, with editing anyways:) I feel good. I feel excited. Next stop, cover, and publishing. I'm hoping to get it out for Christmas. So we'll see. This book addresses the darkness I went through, healing the wounds of an abusive life...it exposes the lack of thought and love that are missing from our culture, and have been for a while now. Everyone is so consumed with going, doing, and being...to stop and care about someone else seems to be a foreign language to most. My intention with this book is to provoke much-needed thought and introspection, to make people feel something deeper and awaken, and also to bring awareness to the reality that loving others, is key in healing the atrocities we sometimes face. It's a book that will put you right on the spot, but in a good way, in a growth way. I hope it will be a huge success, and impact lives the way certain books have for me in the past.
And then, I meet with the vice-principal of Lahaina Intermediate in a couple of weeks. We will discuss ways that I can be there for the mass of kids that are struggling daily in that school, and how we can better equip and educate our children, our families/parents, and our teachers so that everyone is truly thriving, regularly, instead of drowning, or just going through the motions. This work coincides with the book I have been writing for some time now, on conscious conception and parenting for life. I have previously been sharing my knowledge in the way of my nanny business for quite some time, and will continue to do so, but feel drawn toward families in public schools as well, and really just drawn to families in general. I have unfortunately observed that healthy, positive, and priority-driven parenting is heavily lacking in our society, for quite some time now and that most people are flying by the seats of their pants if flying at all. My hope with this book is to awaken us to the reality of that and to give concrete lessons that will open our eyes and change our ways in regards to pro-creating, the way we treat each other, what others are going through, our priorities on the whole, and raising children, for life. Inspiring people to be better and come out on top in life and family, I want to help heal the wounds that have been created by the lack of consciousness and I want to give hope and inspiration to those who have been broken by the hands of unconsciousness. Giving our world a map and a better direction to head in is essential, and it is my goal and intention that the information compiled will blow the minds of everyone. And I think it will, it's time to make a turn. It's time to consider more than just our selfish material and physical desires, it's time to do away with "suppose to's", it's time to start tuning in, listening to ourselves, listening to God, and using our God-given brains. There are broken pieces accumulating around us and it's not right for anyone to turn a blind eye any longer. We allow things to go on, that we would never want to have to go through ourselves. I will use a portion of this book to focus on self-healing: acknowledging, healing and dealing with the wounds we are so quick to stuff down inside us and ignore, wounds that have, without a doubt, been created in all of us to some degree. Some worse than others, and yet we humans, just don't care much. These wounds are preventable however, but it will take some rearranging and work on our part To put attention on this fact is imperative. Author's Incubator would like to pick this project up and work with me on publishing and speaking worldwide, the price tag to work with them is $15k. I'm ok with all possibilities, and honestly question whether or not I would want to be in the public's eye, educating...I feel it would take away too much time from my favorite job, and that's being a mother. I think writing that creates awareness may be enough for me, so self-publishing or finding someone like-minded to represent me is on the table too, I feel open to all possibilities. Either way though, I want to continue to keep this subject matter rolling, so if you feel these issues are important and need some light shed around them, please feel free to donate and share, to help speed the process along and get this important subject matter out to the masses:) Namaste friends, I love you, and I thank you, for your continued kindness and support.
