Hugs for Grakees

If you are here, then you know who Grakees is. He isn't someone that asks for help when he is in a bad situation. In fact, he’s the exact opposite. He doesn’t want to be a burden on anyone, but with that comes a lot of stress and worry.
Grakees has ongoing severe medical issues (both mental and physical), which he has been open about with those who watch his streams, and while he has struggled with this, living off a very modest disability allowance and dealing with medical issues has cost him - both financially and emotionally. In the last year or so his medical condition has severely worsened, which has led to a greatly reduced quality of life as well as costs such as prescriptions, medical appointments, and the travel that is required. It all adds up, and means that quite often Grakees has to give up basic needs (such as food, paying bills, etc), in order to pay for his meds.
The above is a sanitised summary of the issues he has faced. From constant pain, immobility, unhelpful medical professionals passing him around (although that may have hopefully improved), and mounting medical costs, this situation is untenable.
After several of us in the community talked to Grakees, he has finally relented, and has allowed us to put up a GoFundMe, because we’re at the stage where anything, everything needs to be tried.
This is an ongoing matter, and it can’t be solved overnight. However, what we can do is help give him a bit of a breathing room - to give him have a little bit of a cushion that helps take stress away from him, helps to pay for his meds and gives him the chance to eat.
And to tell him that he is loved. By his friends, by this community.
DoublarThackery and myself (Gotoohs) have set up this page, and all monies gathered will be sent directly to Grakees, with his knowledge, in the hope that together we can help a kind, gentle person who has brought happiness and hugs to us all.
