Reynolds Family IVF Fund

Anyone who knows me, knows I've always been a fanatic for the TV show, Friends. There's a line from the episode titled, "The One With the Birth Mother", that's been running through my mind a lot lately. In regards to Monica, Chandler says, "She's already there. She's a mother- without a baby".

My dear friend of 24 years, Emily Reynolds, and her husband JC have been attempting to get pregnant since they married in 2014. Sadly, with no success. Upon finding out that medical intervention would most likely be necessary for Emily to conceive, they began a series of IUI treatments. With each passing month, Emily would send me the same heartbreaking text, stating "still no baby", or, IUI didnt work". Her frustration and sadness became more evident each time.

Recently, Emily let me know that they will be stopping the IUI treatments for the time being, in order to save up for an IVF treatment. I'll spare you the science, and just say that the success rate of an IVF treatment vs an IUI is much higher. Emily and JC were given a pretty high chance, in fact.

Emily has started making (adorable!) headbands for baby girls. After talking about it with her, and realizing that although her creations are beautiful and unique, the market may not be for everyone.

So, that is why I've set up this fundraiser for Emily and JC. For those who want to help this lovely couple achieve the one thing they want the most. I cannot think of anyone else on this good Earth who deserve to be parents more than these two. If you have any questions about treatments or anything else, I'm sure either of them will be happy to answer them for you.
