JADCO Contemporary Dance Company is raising money for small businesses in Charleston, WV.
Small businesses are disappearing all over the country because of this pandemic. Shops, cafes, salons and restaurants help to define each community; they are vital to our sense of identity, our sense of place.
As a small dance company, we decided we wanted to do something to show our support for the many small businesses and favorite spots that make Charleston such a wonderful and unique place to live. We love these places, and we want to do our part to make sure they are there for us to enjoy tomorrow. The only way we knew how to do this, was to do what we do best: dance.
This video is our way of saying, “Thank you for giving us a place to eat, to drink, to play and to be together.”
Please help us achieve our goal of $5,000 by donating to your favorite small business or organization.
You can specify which business or organization you would like to support, or the dancers will distribute funds to businesses and organizations of their choice. Either way, we all can take a special role in helping Charleston preserve its identity.
