Update: Thank you all so much for the outpouring support and love shown in our loss of Ali. The goal has been exceeded and my heart is is bursting with pride in who he was. Thank you. Details for his services are being planned and we’ll update the post when they are finalized. I cannot thank you all enough!

We are completely overwhelmed with the unexpected loss of our son. Ali was 26 years young and still had so much life ahead of him before he was senselessly and violently murdered in the streets of Minneapolis on Sunday June 25th. Many are asking how they can help and we are so appreciative for the kindness and feel this Go Fund Me is an appropriate place to start. Where do I begin? Ali loved his friends and family. He loved all animals and critters, but especially dogs. He had two dogs that were his “kids”, Cream and Sugar (thank you to Aaron and Alex for taking his dogs!). As a child Ali brought home all the strays he found; bunnies, puppies, snakes and dogs. I cannot believe I’m having to write this. Ali was selective with who he hung out with and kept a small circle of friends which were mostly from childhood and cousins. Ali’s death was very unexpected, there are a lot of unanswered questions and we hope like hell the detectives can get us justice! We didn’t plan for this as Ali had so much life ahead of him so there was not a life insurance policy on his beautiful life. This Go Fund Me is to help cover the cost of a wonderful funeral for my only son and one more month of rent at his apartment so we have time to go through his personal items.
