Hurricane Laura

So many have been affected by Hurricane Laura. My family and I were lucky enough to be fine. We are in Jefferson parish. But my best friend of 20 years and his wife and son weren't so lucky. They live in Leesville Louisiana just north of the Lake Charles area and they got hit hard. A tree broke and came through the roof and ceiling causing incredible damage. I am so thankful no-one was hurt. But right now their home isn't livable but they are having no choice but to stay there and try to put the pieces back together. They were already on hard times and unfortunately dont have insurance to cover any of the cost and as of right now their deemed not eligible for help from FEMA. They are going to appeal. But who knows how long that will take and if they'll even get any help still. Will has been there for me through 2 decades of friendship. Every up and down. He's been a constant source of support and help.  His wife has become a great friend to me, also. They have a young son that is also going through this. And I cant even imagine how strong he is having to be right now. I know times are hard for everyone right now but if you have it to give to pay if forward to a family that always gives and never ask for anything in return, then I would be so grateful. And I know they'd be overwhelmed in gratitude.  Every penny counts. 5$ or 10$ anything. No amount is too small. It all adds up. I know pockets are tight right no but no amount would go unappreciated. Thank you all so much in advance. They've not asked me to do this. But I know they need it right now. And they are so deserving of the help. The money would go to repairs of their home and expenses that might come up like having to pick up food since their kitchen isn't usable right now. Or, getting a room at a hotel for a few nights while they home is being worked on. It will all go to them.
