Help Volusia Breweries, Wineries, and Distilleries

Alcohol Production licenses for the State of Florida can range from $500 to $4000. For businesses that have had little to no income for the last 6 months, this will become a make or break moment for many small producers.
The brewing industry in Florida employs tens of thousands of people and attracts a segment of the tourism industry that was once relegated to places like Portland, Denver, and Asheville. Volusia County Breweries, Wineries, and Distilleries have been hard hit by the Corona Virus shutdowns. Shut downs began in March and have only seen slight rollbacks. Some of the biggest events of the year are being cancelled; breweries are being asked to buy additional licensing just to re-open at all; retail businesses are not buying as much product; taprooms have increased overhead costs due to extra corona virus precautions. All these factors and more have made times very tough for local alcohol producers.
Despite these challenges, the State of Florida has issued license renewals for all alcohol producers with no discounts and only a 3 month extension. These licenses come due on December 31st. That will be the day we see small businesses begin to close if something isn't done to help.
All donations to this fund will be distributed to licensed Breweries, Wineries, and Distilleries in Volusia County that meet the below requirements and complete a grant application .
This grant is for businesses that are active and in good standing and hold an alcohol manufacturing license with a brick and mortar location in Volusia County Florida. Business should expect to continue manufacturing operations for the next calendar year and be in need of financial help to pay their State of Florida DPBR Manufacturing License Fees due to the economic impact of the corona virus pandemic.
