House Fire Relief- Funds for Judy and Michael

Donation protected
Early this morning on Tuesday September 28th 2021, Judy and Michael's house caught fire. At this point, we don't know why or how, we just know that the fire itself was bad and has done significant damage to the house. Both Michael and Judy have been hospitalized. Thankfully Michael is awake and stable but our dear friend Judy is fighting for her life in the ICU.

What we do know is that internally she has burns and inhalation smoke damage. Judy has had multiple cardiac arrests and is intubated and currently not awake at this time. We don't know what recovery looks like, and the family is taking each moment as it comes.

Judy is a nurse and runs the Cabarrus Pets Society. She is a huge part of our community and is truly one of the kindest humans to walk this earth. She takes care of the sick and hurting, she is a force of nature for all creatures, a wonderful mom, an amazing friend, and a beloved spouse. She is the human being who says yes to helping others and does all that she can to make a difference in our world. We treasure her, and we all want her to make a full recovery so she can grace us with that smile once more.

As a huge lover of animals, the family has a mighty crew of fur babies at home. Sadly, one of her cats did not make it, another is missing, and the others are being treated and cared for by her friends in her rescue.

We know that there will be so much that will be needed for this family. We are communicating with her family and will update with any and all needs, but for right now, the best thing that we can do is one pray for her. Judy is a faithful follower of Jesus and would love your prayers. Second, if you're able to give monetarily, any help would be greatly appreciated to help with damages from the fire and hospital bills that will come. Please also keep her family in your thoughts and prayers. She has wonderful children, is being taken care of by her very own co workers, and has so many people just jumping in to say "how can I help?" as she is loved by so many, but this will be a challenging time for family as well.

If you can not donate, please share and pray.

Thank you,

Leslie Barber
