HOSPITAL IPADS FOR FAMILIES BATTLING COVID

Recently we lost our father, father in law, grandpa, Charles Foughty, to a 23 day battle with the Covid-19 virus. Coming from a family of 5 firefighters, several nurses and paramedics, we are used to helping those in need. However, like the many thousands of families with loved ones battling this Covid-19 pandemic, we were unable to be by our father's side as he battled this virus alone. It was a very brutal and emotional time, only getting to occasionally speak to him by phone. Not getting to see your loved ones face and hold their hand during this very lonely time is a helpless feeling that thousands of people are experiencing now with "no visitor" restrictions.
Fortunately, with our father the VA hospital in Oklahoma City loaned us 1 of the only 2 iPads they had on their Covid/ICU floor, so that we could spend his last hours, playing his favorite music, reading Bible scriptures to him, praying for him aloud, letting him know how much we loved him and letting him know we were there with him and he wasn't alone. Being able to see him via this iPad made this very difficult time somewhat easier on the family. Unfortunately, not all the families were able to spend time with their loved ones due to the limited amount of iPads available.
Our goal with this Go Fund Me is to purchase as many iPads as possible for our local hospitals so that maybe other families might be able to have this same peace and be able to spend time with their loved ones battling this virus alone.
We never imagined that when we dropped our father off at the Emergency Room, it would be the last time we would ever "physically" get to see him.
Our initial goal is to provide (10) iPads & iPad stands to (10) of our local hospitals.(100 total iPads & stands). Any donations above this needed amount will go towards purchasing additional iPads for other hospitals.
