Horses Healing Heroes Inc. is a registered 501c3 that provides equine assisted therapy to veterans and first responders at no cost to our heroes. Many of our local heroes have experienced unspeakable trauma as they served to protect our freedom and keep our communities safe. This is truly a passion project and we are honored to be blessed with a beautiful farm and some wonderful equine friends. HHH’s mission is to provide high quality equine assisted therapy focused on protective factors, healthy coping strategies, and personal growth for veterans and first responders. Horses provide biofeedback that is a valuable tool as our heroes identify their purpose and passion after service and trauma. HHH is partnered with several organizations that can provide resources and community connections. A $150 donation covers 1 therapy session for a hero, one therapy horse for one month, or covers overhead expenses (insurance, office expenses, facility costs) for 1 month. Platoon 22 a veteran organization dedicated to coordinating veteran services has generously agreed to match donations up to $3500. This partnership will allow Horses Healing Heroes to connect with more veterans and first responders. We will become another valuable resource that Platoon 22 can refer to in the future.
