Hope for the Hemphills

Hello, my name is Noelle Stanley and in the early hours of the morning on Saturday, March 25th, a tornado tore through the family land of one of my friends, Lashanda Hemphill-Gerriff. Thankfully, Lashanda doesn't currently live on the land, but unfortunately the seven other families who did lost everything. Each family's house was leveled, and three of her relatives lost their lives.

Since meeting Lashanda, I have had the pleasure to witness firsthand her benevolent mentality. She is always willing to help others and does so graciously. Her family means more to her than anything. While there is no way to replace the loss of her loved ones, there is an opportunity to reciprocate her generosity.

The task of grieving is made even more difficult when you no longer have a roof over your head or necessities. The funds collected will be used to aid the seven families as they begin the process of rebuilding their homes and lives. If you know Lashanda, then you know she would not hesitate to do anything in her power to help someone in need, and I hope we can do the same for her and her family.
