A message of Hope: Cancer free for Laurence!!

My name is Amevi and I am fundraising for my dear cousin Laurence (39 years) who has been diagnosed with breast cancer a month ago. We only found out about the seriousness of the cancer a week ago on September 15th 2021: breast cancer triple-negative. Doctors are not taking any chances with this type of cancer, so they have decided to put her right away on chemotherapy just a week after, starting today September 23rd 2021.

 

Moving from Africa more than 15 years ago with the pursuit of a better life for ourselves and most of our family left behind, cancer was not part of the plan.....a sad reality that this disease can happen to anyone at any age, anywhere...

 

Laurence just returned to work last March from maternity leave. She is a wonderful mother to the cutest 18th month old boy ever, who absolutely adores his mother and needs her to be around strong and healthy!!

 

We were not prepared for this battle (and to be honest, who can be prepared for this?), but we are convinced that with Faith, Laurence will be cancer-free in a couple of months.
