Honoring Troy Johnson Sr.: A Life of Joy and Service

My name is Samantha Johnson, I am the daughter of my wonderful, bubbly father Troy Johnson Sr. This is going to be more so a tribute and story about him, as he had a big heart and was an huge inspiration to many and more. My father was always an uplifting spirit, who loved any if not all genre of music/musicians. He was a big collector of many iconic artist, and would write down many new songs he wanted to discover occasionally. A collector of vinyls and records, even silly items like our most precious toys he’s hidden somewhere (lol). I always knew my father to wear shoe taps and dance with them for fun, while trying to create goofy faces, anything to bring out a smile on someone’s face. Being an amazing roller skater, jam skater as well, he would always be seen with his hands high and moving to any songs that played during sessions at his favorite roller rink. His smile and contagious laughter would uplift everyone around him, and his presence inside those doors at Champs Roller Drome were always welcomed by his mini fans, friends, and family.
My father had also worked for a very long time with many, if not thousands of different individuals, through care giving and being a nurse aid for a variety of senior living places. He always had a deep need to help others, even when he was going through his own struggles, there wasn’t a time that he didn’t do his best to be there for those who needed him. In some cases, he would put so many before his own troubles just to make sure they were okay. Through his work place, many co workers were touched by his devotion to aid, the fun he brought to his patients, and the connections he would form just by being himself. Over only a few days, I learned that my father was a breath of fresh air, a better day, and even a sun on others cloudy days.
I learned that no matter what he did his upmost best to provide for those he cared about. In the coming days, I hope to do my upmost best to give him the care he needs now.
This is a little go fund me page, to help my father, rest peacefully, and finally be able to take the break he truly deserved.
Preparations for his memorial service are currently in progress, any donations will be going directly to helping him rest, and to settle any business he may have left behind.
Thank you so much.
