Honoring the Life of Lloyd Ornelas

Hi, my name is LaRina, and it is with unimaginable grief that I share the sudden loss of my brother, Lloyd Ornelas, who passed away unexpectedly on July 12th, 2025. His passing was the result of a severe heat stroke that led to cardiac arrest leaving our family devastated beyond words.

Lloyd had a heart bigger than life. He was the kind of person who always checked in, offering help without hesitation, and showing up when it mattered most. He lived with a quiet resilience and a deep sense of love for those around him.

To his children, he was a loving and devoted father. He leaves behind: his eldest son Lloyd, also known as Nathaniel (age 20), his only daughter Milani (age 13), and his youngest son Naveen (age 4). They were his greatest joy and the center of his world.

To us, Lloyd wasn’t just our brother. He was part of the core of who we are. The five of us shared a bond that went beyond words. We weren’t just siblings; we were a unit. Our lives, our identities, and our paths were always intertwined. We’ve faced every trial and triumph together, and losing him feels like losing a part of our very foundation.

Lloyd had so many dreams for his future. He was working hard every day to build a better life for his children. His unexpected passing has left a hole in our hearts and our lives that words can't fully capture. His laughter, compassion, and love for those around him made a lasting impact on every life he touched. He gave everything he had, and he gave it with so much love.

This fundraiser has been created to assist with the cost of Lloyd’s funeral and memorial services. Any funds raised beyond those immediate needs will go toward supporting our family during this incredibly difficult time including travel expenses to ensure his children can be present to honor their father and say their final goodbyes.

As we face this difficult time, we hold tightly to the comfort of Scripture:

“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” – Psalm 34:18
