Our brother Ulisses De La Mora, passed away yesterday on December 5th, 2025, after a courageous battle in the ICU, where he spent over two weeks receiving extensive medical care for pneumonia and other health-related complications. He had just celebrated his 31st birthday on December 4th. Living with Down syndrome, he brought so much joy and love to our family and everyone who knew him.

He was truly a friend to everyone he met. If you had the privilege to meet him, you’d feel lighter and so much happier—he was an angel and didn’t have a mean bone in his body. His heart was like nothing I’ve ever seen before. He loved to dance and sing, and he especially loved making ladies feel beautiful and special. He was everything to everyone in our family, and his kindness, laughter, and unique spirit touched countless lives. I know he made you smile if you ever met him.

The suddenness of his passing, combined with the intensive medical care he required, has left our family facing significant expenses. We are now navigating the costs of funeral services and the medical bills that accumulated during his time in the hospital. While we are grateful for the care he received, the financial burden is overwhelming during an already difficult time.

We are reaching out to our community for support as we honor my brother’s memory and try to move forward.
