I am so sad to have to share with you that Michael, my beloved husband and father to our two girls, passed away this week Tuesday, December 1. He struggled seriously for many years with mental health issues and suicide, and this time he hit a crisis and was not able to get through it. This is not who he was, but a moment that overtook him, and we are devastated and shattered and heartbroken to lose him.
Many have expressed a desire to help or contribute to any memorial fund, and again, I will be really honest. Michael and I separated earlier this year but we were hopeful to work through our problems and reconcile. Our love and our relationship was very special and dear to both of us, and we also wanted to reunite our family if possible.
We had discussed our funeral wishes in the past, thankfully, and it is meaningful to me to be able to realize those preferences for him and to have a place that is beautiful and spiritual where we can visit him. In this time, however, I have been on my own financially and am using all my reserves to fund funeral costs without really knowing what the future will require, so if anyone would like to contribute to support that need, I will be humbled and grateful.
Thank you all for your love and sympathy and messages of support and encouragement. They mean the world to our family right now.
