On June 24th, at 3:59 PM, our world changed forever. Our little sister, Julissa "Jugi" Romero, passed away unexpectedly. She was only 35 and leaves behind three beautiful children. Julissa was more than a sister—she was a mother, a friend, a helper, a light. If you needed something, she would find a way to give it. She always showed up.

Because of how suddenly this happened, and the kind of selfless life Julissa lived, she didn’t have life insurance. That’s why we’re now facing the heavy burden of not just laying her to rest, but doing it in the way she wished: to be buried with our father.

We also want to honor her with something more than just a funeral. We want to give her a Celebration of Life—a gathering full of love, music, memories, and everything she brought into this world. Julissa lived in Massachusetts and was away from her family for years, but I want her to feel the love she gave returned to her—one last time.
