Update: Janie passed peacefully surrounded by family on 1/5/26.

My grandma (Janie Baker) is currently on hospice care and is declining under comfort care. As we prepare to say goodbye, our family is facing emotional and financial challenges we were not prepared for.

She is truly one of the most loving human beings you could ever meet. She never met a stranger—she would talk to anyone, help anyone, and give whatever she could, even when she had little herself. She had a way of making people feel seen and cared for.

opened her heart and her home to children who were not her own, simply because she wanted to give them a better life. She loved deeply, without judgment, and lived her life thinking of others first. She is an amazing soul, and we want to honor her the way she deserves.

We do not have the funds needed to cover her funeral and final arrangements. We are humbly asking for help so we can lay her to rest with dignity.
