Hello everyone --

Our beloved friend, Bob Delaubenfels, died unexpectedly on Sunday, September 28. Each of us who was lucky enough to know him will have our own stories of our times with him -- the deep discussions about all kinds of subjects, the bridge games and outdoor adventures, the laughter, and hugs. He was a devoted father and husband and a solid, reliable friend to many. Bob was an integral part of a big community and maintained close friendships stretching back to his teenage years in LRY and The Evergreen State College 50 years ago, his time at Microsoft and beyond.

We're asking this community to honor Bob and support his wife Blair through this tough time. As we all grapple with this sudden loss, we're turning to you to help cover cremation and funeral expenses (est. $8000), and provide a financial cushion for Blair. All the proceeds will be used to pay for expenses already incurred and then to Blair.

Bob will be cremated and buried with his beloved son Reid at a private service. There will be a memorial service in the near future. We will update this page with details when we have them.
