It is with deep sadness and love that we share the unexpected passing of Officer Krystal Rivera, Star #19020, of the Chicago Police Department, a dedicated officer, loving daughter, and cherished member of our community. Krystal served her city with honor, courage, and heart. She devoted herself entirely to protecting others, and her loss has shaken the lives of so many who knew and loved her. She was not only a public servant but also a proud mother, sister, and daughter whose light will never be forgotten. Krystal leaves behind her beloved daughter, Bella, and her two sisters, Jazmine and Jackie. The heartbreak of this loss is felt deeply across generations of her family, especially by those who now must face life without her strength, love, and laughter.

Her End of Watch was on June 5, 2025, a date that will forever hold significance for those who knew her and those who served alongside her. This fundraiser is being organized on behalf of her beloved mother, Yolanda Rivera, who now faces an unimaginable road ahead. With Yolanda’s full blessing, this is the only official GoFundMe created in Krystal’s name. As a family friend, I, Esteban Gonzalez Jr., was permitted to organize this effort to honor Krystal’s legacy and help Yolanda with whatever she may need such as financial support in the days, weeks, and months to come.
