Hollydell Road Fire Kelowna Emergency Help Fund

This Fundraiser is to offer much needed financial help for the 3 occupants of the hollydell rd fire in Kelowna, May 27th, that occurred around 9am. One of the occupants is a retired veteran and single father on disability.

We want to Thank you in advance for any help.

After surviving an overnight blaze, the 3 home occupants urgently have to find new accommodations while fire crews assess the damage, any donations are greatly appreciated.

The occupants are in need of financial assistance in order to secure accommodations while the smoke settles.

An occupant of a home that caught fire Thursday morning on Hollydell Road says he was asleep when the fire broke out.

“I was sleeping, a firefighter came and got me,” he said.

Three people and two cats lived in the home. All three people escaped the fire, but one was transported to hospital. The two cats escaped.

A witness driving by the home captured a photo of the billowing flames coming out of the carport at 8:58 a.m.

“Bystanders were on the street and went to the neighbour to tell them to leave their house,” said the witness.
