Long Live the Lady Lord Baltimore

The iconic Holiday Snack Bar is celebrating 75 years of serving the people of Beach Haven the foods we’ve come to love. But as many of you know, the year long litigation with the town is placing a financial burden on their ability to operate. The disputes over serving breakfast and alleged expanded seating are the issues being debated. They have shown good faith in attempts to work with neighbors and adjust their set up. But still they are being asked to do more with no assurance that they will be able to continue to live the dream that is Holiday Snack Bar. While the Bowkers themselves are too humble to ask for money, it’s time for their beloved friends and loyal customers to again show them that we continue to support them and will do our part to make sure that they are not forced to walk away from The Holiday because of finances. Please consider donating to this fund to help the Bowkers cover the cost of litigation, the site plan and improvements required by the land use board and/or the town. We’ve set our goal at $33,333.00 because three is a divine number and good things come in threes. Any and all remaining funds will be split between the Beach Haven Fire Department, Beach Haven EMS and Compassion Cafe.

“Do right and fear no one” are the words that are carrying the HSB family through this and we need you to be part of the mission to keep the Holiday Snack Bar open and protected on the record. We need to ensure that our favorite summer place for burgers, shakes and amazing desserts is able to carry on the rich traditions as they have for the past 75 years.
