Holiday Paying it Forward, Single Moms in Need
6 years ago during my divorce I told a friend that I was sad about not really being able to afford presents for my kids that year. She showed up at my doorstep with a $100 gift card to toys r us. She said “I’msorry it’s not much, but I hope it will help,I don’t want you to pay me back, but when you can, all I ask is that you pay it forward.” I gave her the biggest hug with tears in my eyes and thanked her and made that promise. She is no longer with us, but now she carries the most beautiful angel wings and i hope she is seeing what she made possible grow! So now for the past 2 years I’ve been able to find a single mom who was in my shoes and give a little holiday spirit as well. If I could help more I would which is why I ask for anyone who would like to be a part of this journey with me.
Thank you everyone for your help.
