Donation protected
Hello everyone I’ve set up this go fund me page for Jamie and our family as you are all aware my husband is now fighting cancer for the second time
Having a major op to try to eradicate the cancer that has returned in his pelvis,
For all the heartache and pain emotional and physical Jamie is having to contend with we would like to give him something to look forward to once he has recovered enough from the treatment,
A Holiday of a lifetime he can enjoy with his family around him,his kids are his life and he deserves so much some happiness.please donate as much as u can no matter how small as it will all count Thankyou so much for helping to bring a smile to Jamie’s face *UPDATE* Just to let you all know that Jamie’s surgery today was successful the surgeon said he is very pleased that it has gone the way he wanted it to go, I’ve been to see Jamie in intensive care briefly but didn’t stay too long as he needs to get plenty of rest and sleep he was talking ok looked very pale but is to be expected as he’s had a major op today he’s very sleepy at the moment. Now Jamie has a long road ahead of him to recover as he has gone through quite a lot jamie is a true inspiration to people and a fighter I knew he could do this again xxxx *UPDATE* Just to let you all know that Jamie has been doing really well over the last few days, he’s been able to eat little and as often to help to get his appetite back, the surgeon has been and seen him again today and he’s really happy with how well Jamie is doing. The good news is that Jamie’s been discharged from the hospital so he can come back home tomorrow where he belongs with his family, he’s still quite fragile at the moment and needs to get plenty of bed rest, he’s got a long road ahead of him to recovery and healing. I’m so proud of my man he’s a true inspiration to people and a fighter I knew he would do this and kick cancers arse again xxxx *UPDATE* Just to let you all know we’ve just had a call from the Macmillan nurse checking in with Jamie to see how things are since his major surgery, she’s told us his test results from the tissue samples sent off for analysis and she has advised us that it would be sensible for Jamie to have an appointment with the oncologist in Brighton at the cancer centre to have a chat about his options for having treatment, this could be chemotherapy, radiotherapy or a combination of both depending on what they decide is the best option to go with. She told us that they’re not entirely sure if it’s secondary bowel cancer as a result of a recurrence from his previous surgery or primary bladder cancer as when they removed his bladder he had an ulcer on the back of it that was cancerous, she believes a node or some sort of residue had dropped down into his pelvis area during previous surgery and over time developed into a recurrence, she feels a discussion with the oncologist will be beneficial to decide whether they need him to have treatment to kill off any possible remaining cancer cells. *UPDATE* We’ve been to the oncologist today, he’s pretty much confirmed the cancer was a secondary occurrence from the previous one, it had grown on the back of Jamie’s bladder from the outside inwards which makes things extra difficult to ensure complete removal☹️ The next step..... radiotherapy and chemotherapy for 5 weeks providing he can increase his weight and wellness over the next couple of weeks, we was hoping for some better news after Jamie going through a pretty horrid time already but he’ll do this the only way he knows how, head up, guns blazing! Please please keep sharing and donating what you can every penny counts together we can get Jamie the dream holiday he deserves after everything he’s been through and still is. *UPDATE* Today we came and saw the oncologist about Jamie’s scan results, everything is all good, his pet scan showed he’s got a lymph node in his pelvis area that is active which is quite common after surgery hence them wanting to do the radiotherapy and chemotherapy treatment to zap the area and stop anything progressing. We discussed the pain that Jamie has still been experiencing and the oncologist has informed us that the tumour was likely to have been pressing on the sciatic nerve and it is still very inflamed, hopefully this will improve over time. The oncologist has got Jamie to have a ct scan today ready for him to start his treatment, his radiotherapy treatment will be starting as of the 30/3/2020 for 5 weeks, Monday-Friday
