Gender Affirming Surgery

Hello, my name is Maggie (she/her) and I am fundraising for a gender affirming breast reduction. I have been queer as long as I remember, and have been extraordinarily lucky to be alongside friends and family that have helped me evolve into my truest self. My queerness is the most beautiful aspect of myself. I cannot explain my gender experience more than this: expansive, evolving, and mine. I see clearly this vision for myself, and I have worked so hard over the years to find resonance in my body. Now, in my 27th year, I have taken the strides to radically reduce my breasts, to embrace a more androgynous presentation and hopefully reckon further with who I aspire to be. This procedure will alleviate physical pain and provide mental comfort. I feel so vulnerable writing this. Transparently, it is very expensive to obtain this surgery and get the results I desire. I anticipate my insurance covering the majority of the procedure, but I am left with the deductible and some non-insured aesthetic aspects of the surgery. This is so important to me, and I humbly ask for your consideration, that you may donate towards my procedure, the related costs of aftercare and doctor’s visits, and the materials needed to heal effectively. Of course I absolutely understand if you are unable to, and ask instead that you keep me in your prayers, and all others ambitiously searching to find homes in their bodies. If you are unable to give that, please provide me respect and trust that I know my body, my mind and my heart better than anyone else. Anything would help. I am also able to accept venmo or zelle if you are more comfortable donating there. Please know I will be working hard and saving as much as I can. My surgery is set for July 16th. I am absolutely privileged to have a community to lean on, and please know if I were to receive any excess that I would pay it forward.
