On July 15, 2020 Nathan was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia B Cell (ALL). Treatment for this type of cancer is at least 2 years. What this means is that for at least the first 30 days he has to be in the hospital. Then he will have many outpatient treatments. There will be many blood labs, x-rays, spinal taps, chemotherapy, and other procedures. Also all outpatient treatments will be done at Roswell in Buffalo, NY.
The average cost for this type of pediatric cancer is $40,000. While insurance will help cover some of the costs, there will still be co-pays, travel costs and other miscellaneous costs in the future. Due to COVID19 we have faced challenges in getting financial support from the organizations that usually are able to help. Any donations you are able to give are extremely appreciated.
