Hitchhiking from England to India to raise for 16 charities!
Hi, I'm Richard, 27 years old from Kent, UK.
I'm going to be hitchhiking and couchsurfing my way from England to India to raise money for 16 different charities.
Why 16 different charities you may ask. The truth is that these were the remaining one's after I'd whittled my way down from a vast number more.
I've been inspired by the movement of effective altruism over the past couple of years and have spent many a sleepless night wondering how I can do as much good in the world as I can.
It has also been a dream of mine to hitchhike and couchsurf from England (where I live) to India so this trip is the convergence of the two.
I will be sharing the faces and stories of the people I meet on social media to shine light on all the good that still exists in hope it inspires us all to be more kind, considerate and generous.
The charities I've chosen here have proven track records of doing cost effective amazing work out in the world and I hope this encourages you to donate!
