Hurricane Irma has affected our community more than any other storm in recent history. There are many organizations that need our help. I am here to ask for your consideration in helping the children of His House Children's Home.
His House houses 120 kids that are waiting for a foster home. These are children who have been abused, abandoned, and neglected. Some are even from Haiti. They provide these children with a nurturing and cozy home and restore joy to their lives.
Currently they have 16 houses for shelter for these 120 kids that range from infants to teenagers but, they will house 40 more kids by next week due to hurricane Irma. Needless to say they do not have the necessary items needed to care for this increase.
Many of their large appliances such as washers and dryers were damaged due to the storm. Each house does 10 loads of laundry DAILY.
I am asking all my contacts and their friends to give a little. No donation is too small! Our mission is to raise $50,000 by September 30th.
Funds will be used to replace damaged appliances, electronics as well as to purchase bath towels, detergent, personal hygiene items and paper goods.
