Himalayan Elders Annual Picnic Fund 2019

Himalayan Elders Project  (HEP) started with an elders picnic in 2012 and has since grown into one of the largest active non-profits in Queens, NY. The organization takes care of more than 100 seniors from the Himalayan region living in the New York area. HEP operates from Mon-Wed every week in Jackson Heights, Queens and conducts Yoga, Light-Exercise, Devotional, Walkers Group, Tibetan and English classes and several other activities without any fees. The organization is entirely funded by individual community donors.
Your donation today will help make our annual picnic happen for the 8th consecutive years which has now become a tradition. The 4 days picnic is held at the Palyul Retreat Center in McDonough, NY and is supported by about 20 volunteers including Registered Nurses, Professional cooks, entertainers, care-providers, drivers etc.

The picnic directly helps our seniors in their physical and mental wellbeing and is the core to our program. The funds collected here will pay for 4 days of chartered busses, meals, cooks, van rentals, gas etc.
