Hilson does highland for VHL

I have decided to fundraise for VHL as this condition affects so many people yet very few people know of it. Someone this condition affects is one of my oldest and dearest friends Lynsey we have been friends since the age of 3 and she’s still stuck with me. 

Lynsey along with some of her family members including her daughter (one of my daughters besties) have this condition and as of yet there is no cure. I would love to be able to raise money for research and also raise awareness of this condition to people. 

Lynsey is is one of the strongest people I know having had multiple surgeries to remove tumours including a brain tumour. Currently Lynsey has another brain tumour and multiple kidney tumours to name a few yet she doesn’t let this phase her or get her down. 

So 20 years after hanging up my competitive dance pumps I have picked them back up and I have decided to compete in a full highland dance competition on November 3rd 2019 and I am doing this as a sponsored competition. I will 100% be exhausted and sore muscles the next day however my friend her family and others are affected by this condition for their whole life so I’m doing this to raise as much awareness and hopefully money for research as possible.
