Ed and Carolyn Davidson need Help!

I am sure you know him by many names....
Dad, Uncle Ed, Grandpa, and especially Mr. Ed!
He is in the hospital and tests today revealed that there is a tear in his aorta and a valve is leaking terribly. He is being transferred from Trident Hospital to MUSC in downtown Charleston. I am not sure when surgery is being scheduled - sometime in the next few days. Open heart surgery is something he is familiar with - he suffered from a devastating aortic tear about 14 years ago. He is a tough old bird, but he always seems to do better when the love of his life is nearby. I am trying to collect donations so that Carolyn can stay near the hospital in a hotel. Her health is precarious at best, and I don't think staying in the hospital day and night will do her any good! I have been in contact with MUSC concierge services, and there are reduced rates available for hotels nearby- the cost will be approximately $126 a night. Any little bit that we can raise will offset the cost to them. We would like to be able to help with meals and other costs of staying away from home. If you can't donate you can still help by keeping them in your prayers before during and after surgery.
