Her ALS Story

Her ALS Story (HAS) is a group of women diagnosed with ALS before their 35th birthday. Our mission is to raise ALS awareness and foster a community where women can connect, learn from each other, and support one another to live their best lives.

We’re asking for your support to help us achieve our mission and improve the lives of the women of HAS. Your contributions will go toward the following areas:

Advocacy Initiatives: Young voices are especially powerful in advocating for policy changes that will have a meaningful impact on people living with ALS now and in the future. Ensuring that HAS members can participate and engage key decision makers on a federal and local level is crucial.

Education Initiatives: Enabling HAS members to organize, co-host, and attend awareness and educational conferences helps us learn and have our perspectives heard within the broader ALS community.

HAS Community Initiatives: The community we’ve created helps our members know they are not alone in their fight. With more than 35 active members and growing, we’re constantly evolving and finding new ways to support each other. We sponsor annual retreats and other events to strengthen our network by forming bonds and bringing young women with ALS together.
