Henry's O-1 Visa

If you have not met me or heard of me yet, my name is Henry Steele. I am a professional dancer from Wollongong, NSW, Australia and I have been studying and performing in the United States and abroad for almost 5 years now. After completing my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at Point Park University, I was fortunate enough to be granted a temporary work permit, which has allowed me a further 12 months (with no more than 90 days of inactivity) of work within my field. I was also fortunate enough to be hired by mulptiple companies both nationally and internationally recognised during this time- an opportunity not every performer gets right out of university. With my 12 months almost up, the time has come for me to either return to Australia and start from square one with networking and auditioning in the very small performing community, or continue to climb higher and pursue the goals I have set for myself in the last five years here in the states.
I have received an offer from a company in the US and the last thing I need to apply for my visa is pay my half of the application and expediting fee which adds up to $2,500. This is money I simply do not have right now, due to a lot of travel and living expenses during the audition season. With the audition having only just happened, and the start date just around the corner, I have had very little time to look for and find a sponsor to assist me with this. This money will also be refunded, should the visa not be accepted. If the application IS accepted, I will be granted a three year contract with this incredible company, and will be able to continue doing what I have worked so hard for and what I am so happy to be able to share with the world.
