Support Our Fight To Regain Our Life Back

Hi. My name is Stephanie and I currently reside in a tent at the park with my husband and my kitty. I started this with intentions to help others like myself but it's at the point now I have to focus on the most important issues and that's finding a new home for us outside of a flimsy tent.  Please PLEASE take a few minutes to hear me and see how crucial, time sensitive and the urgency to get out of here and what brought us here in the first place.
Ive written this so many times, erased, re written, over and over... I also changed the amount "goal" to $1.  When you have nothing, a simple dollar will get me a hot cup of coffee which can make my whole day!  so I'm not asking for any certain amount...
I'm just going to go with the flow and say this from the heart and hope I get heard....heres our story....

This is how it came to be.....
we are the type of people who will give you the shoes off our feet regardless if we have money or not.  Anyone that knows us knows that...
we have a combined total of 7 kids and 2 grandchildren who desperately need help.

Back in the summer, we lived in a small apt on N Calvert st.  Our building was bought and managed by this cold, evil man who did anything and everything to try to run us out before we were able to find somewhere else to go.  I have spoken to multiple lawyers and have a strong case against this man but having to choose whether to fight him or move on and leave it alone was a hard choice.  I don't have the money or energy to go through a long court battle while living in a tent trying to manage our current circumstances that led us here.  I've never come across someone so cruel and selfish.  When my building was bought by this person, I never realized the troubles that I was about to face.  I started to notice things being moved around my apartment, things missing and when I complained about it, I had a notice stuck on my door telling me I'm being evicted.  There was no reason and after many phone calls, emails, I was told to stop contacting him. The morning of my court hearing, I was in the basement, I had my sons plastic BB gun sitting on a chair with other things of mine and this man came down and stared at it, saying nothing to me, he walked off.  His motion to vacate me was dismissed and in retaliation, that evening there was a knock at my door with 4 police officers saying I pulled a gun on him!  WHAT!!!!  That was just the beginning.....

Another incident was when I had just gotten out of the shower, wearing only a t shirt, I watched my doorknob start to turn.  There was someone there with me and they saw it as well, they ran over and slammed the door shut.  I put the chain on, and cracked the door open to see the landlord standing there.  I was extremely upset asking him what he was doing, why didn't he announce himself and WHY was he trying to come into my apt unannounced.  He stated it was the cord he was holding in his hand that must've hit the knob causing it to move.  again....WHAT!!!! (starting to question my own sanity....)

Long story short, I was safer in a TENT at the dog park down the street than my own home!  I haven't seen or wanting any of my children to come while this was going on and the love of our kids is what keeps us going everyday.
We are also battling health issues.  While I suffer with Major Depressive Disorder, Intercystial Cystitis, Osteoarthritis, Barretts Esophogus and diagnosed with onset early dementia, my husband is battling throat cancer the 2nd time around.  People use our illnesses to their advantage and it's heartbreaking to say the least.  We are both in our mid 40's and the only thing we want is to see our kids grow and have families of their own. We want to have a home that our kids can come to and visit, holidays, etc...

Birthdays came and passed within the past few months and physically hurts my heart knowing I can't give them anything for their bdays, let alone Christmas coming up.  I know they understand but it's not their fault their mom is the way she is. After beind diagnosed with IC, I've had about 13 surgeries since and my kids were always there keeping me positive.

They deserve so much more than a simple. phone call.  I would love to have something to give them for Christmas but that's a faraway dream.  If anyone wishes to donate towards Christmas for our children, we would be so grateful.  We are in need of a new tent, food, WATER...anything is helpful.  The funds that get donated to us will first go towards stocking up on water and food, blankets, we have a portable stove but no butane. We have a small generator that ran 3x before breaking down.  We make fires to heat up water to wash up with but that's becoming a hard task now.  It will also go towards transportation to and from Dr's that I have been putting off because one of us has to be here ALL the time to avoid the constant theft! Please help us.  As embarrassing as it is asking for help, it's at a point where our health and safety are in jepordy.  Thank you to everyone who has already and that knows us and knows our situation.  Hopefully, a Christmas miracle will happen.  Thank you for taking the time to read this and please share. That's all we ask. We are grateful for anything.
