Zamudio Family Lost Everything

Donation protected
On Monday, October 9th a fire raged through Santa Rosa, CA, burning thousands of homes and businesses.

The Zamudio family had very short notice that they needed to leave their home - they had to flee in the middle of the night to an evacuation center with only a few items and papers.  They found out the next day that their home was destroyed.

They are five adults and one 3-year-old boy. They are now staying with family in the East Bay and figuring out what to do next. Aside from the loss of home and the need to figure out where to eventually move, they have immediate needs for clothes and household items as well as funds to help their home search. Any amount of extra money would be a small peace of mind during this extremely difficult time. The money from this campaign will be used to replace day to day items lost: clothing and supplies they will need while they stay with family and make a plan.

On a personal note, we live in El Cerrito, CA just south of the fires (though we can smell and see the carnage) and know this family since they have been helping care for our children in daycare when our son was 2 months old. Their family has helped care for and raise both our children with loving devotion, and has become like family to us. We are doing our best to help.

I will be withdrawing funds in my name and handing 100% of the money directly to the Zamudio family.
