I just recently seen the preview of the audition for American Idol by this amazing young man. Even though I haven't been able to hear him sing yet, his testimony and story was one that will bring tears to your eyes! I felt moved by his story and If you haven't heard it you should definitely watch it!
A little backstory is this young man 28 years old to be exact, grew up in rough area Compton, California. He describes the area he grew up in as being surrounded by drugs and shootings and so much more! Eventually he and his sister were placed in the system by children services. It was there that he found a refuge in the music and knew he wanted to be a singer. He goes on to tell his story and mentions how people say the cycle repeats and he refers to his mom being in the system, him being in the system and then his sister had a child as well. Marcio wanted to break the cycle and make sure his (nephew) didn't have to be placed in the system as well. When the police came to him and said you have a choice take him, or he's put in the system. This 28 year old not knowing a thing about being a father became one that night when they placed that one week old precious baby boy in his arms. I'm opening this gofundme because someone this selfless deserves some help! Even if all you can give is $5 please do! I'm sure he will appreciate anything that is given. I don't personally know Marcio but I will be making sure every dime is sent to him that is raised thru this gofundme!!!
