Helping young Nigerian boxers

#ChampionsTogether

There are thousands of young boxers in Nigeria trying to use sports to make it out of poverty.

When I was growing up as a young fighter we had no access to people that we looked up to, those people that were successful and managed to make it out of poverty through sports. Thank God though for social media today because they can reach out to us, and I’ve been inspired by some of the great work I’ve seen some of these kids doing!

Heartbreakingly, it’s the same old story though, what is stopping them is not a lack of heart or skill but the lack of even the most basic equipment and opportunity (and some probably training on an empty stomach!)

Part of my motivation as a boxer has always been to inspire and help the next generation and I don’t won’t to see another generation squander it’s talent waiting for support from the Government. I want to do something NOW to help them.

Boxing is an individual sport but it takes a team to make a Champion and I’m trying to help my fellow young brothers and sister to realise their dreams, whilst also becoming better people. I am committed to doing what I can on my own but if you want to help support these kids with boxing equipment we can help make Champions Together, inside and outside of the ring.

If you can join our team I would be forever grateful. Whatever you can do to help is more than enough. God bless and thank you.
