Helping Rhonda (stay out of a nursing home)

I'm Bill Miller, and I am creating this GoFundMe page for my long-time friend Rhonda Reese.
Rhonda is a quadriplegic, like me.
We both have been paralyzed for more than two decades, requiring physical help for "activities of daily living" as they are called.
Our goal with this fundraiser is to help keep Rhonda out of a nursing home. It's actually better for both taxpayers and Rhonda, if she is able to keep living in a community setting, rather than a nursing facility (I can elaborate on this if you would like).
Rhonda has been injured since 1991 due to a car accident, and her mom was her primary caregiver for more than 20 years. Rhonda lost both of her parents in 2012, and has fought hard and managed life frugally in order to avoid having to try to "live" in a nursing home.
We did bowl-a-thon fundraisers in 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2018 to help Rhonda, and are planning another for March 16, 2019. Rhonda also does other fundraisers like yard sales with the help of friends and generous folks donating items for Rhonda to sell.
The good news is that Rhonda has been approved for 24/7 care through a combination of support programs, but perhaps surprisingly, round-the-clock care can be difficult to cover through nursing agencies.
It is not uncommon for someone to call in sick at the last minute – or not show up without even calling. In such situations, Rhonda has to rely on her small team of caregivers which she has to pay out of pocket.
She also has an aging wheelchair accessible van that has required resources to keep it on the road.
Those are Rhonda's primary expenses, in addition to food, her subsidized housing, etc.
BUT if you have read this much… perhaps you can be one of the many community supporters and/or friends who have contributed to keeping Rhonda out of a nursing home… for which both she and I are quite grateful.
Rhonda is one of the most grateful human beings I have ever met, and as mentioned previously, she manages life about as frugally as possible.
We had a YouCaring page set up for Rhonda, but when they merged with GoFundMe, it disappeared. I'm happy to report we had raised more than $10,000 on the YouCaring page (it took a few years) – in addition to off-line donations – and if we can hit $10,000 on here, that would be fantastic.
