Helping Our Westfield Neighbor

Hi everyone- a good family friend is dealing with a temporary financial crunch. He lives in town (Westfield) with his kids & is concerned about making rent for May & June 2018. His landlord declined to accept 2 months rent at once in June, as he proposed. He’s been a responsible community member since moving here in 2005 with his wife & kids. His children have been raised here and are students at WHS. He’s gone through the very painful loss of his wife recently and is just getting back on his feet. Unfortunately he had to tap into his savings over the past year. His situation/past income apparently disqualifies him from any kind of public assistance, as well as the temporary nature of his setback. The goal of $5000 will cover his May & June rent and the health insurance payment for his children. Thank you all so much for your kindness & generosity.
