Helping Liza’s Family

Hello, my name is Amy and my friend Jacquelyn and I are trying to get some help supporting our good friend Travis and his sweet little baby after the heartbreaking loss of his wife, Liza.

Liza’s battle with some major health issues came to an end Friday, August 19th. Her fight is over and she can finally be pain free. She was way too young and she sadly left behind her Husband, Travis and their infant son, Elijah.

Liza was such a bright light. She was so loving and kind and always there when you needed her. She was the first to jump up and offer whatever help she could to anyone in need. She had such a sweet and sassy soul. Liza was a newer friend in my life, but over the 5 years I got to know her, I am so thankful she was a friend I had gotten to have.

Her husband Travis is nothing less than amazing as well. He was by her side until the very last moments. Travis worked as much as he could with having to go in and out of hospitals while she was sick. And his love for his new little family was above everything. Between Liza’s health and having a new baby to take care of he still continued to work as much as he could and continue working on the remodel of the home they we’re building.

Unfortunately, between the medical bills, the constant travel to the mainland (we live on an island), baby appointments and all of the things that can come along with this type of loss, he is trying to figure out his next steps in the new life he needs to create for himself and little E. He would never ask for anything (and he will probably want to punch me for doing this). But even with the struggles he is going through, he would still be the first to offer up help to anyone.

I’m hoping that starting this will be able to take a little bit of the financial hardships off of his mind. He wants to be able to have a celebration of her life for everyone to get to be together. But mostly the money raised will be going toward helping him to support his little guy and and maybe take some of the stresses off of him while he already is having to deal with the worst nightmare of his life and be able to really focus on his son and figuring out where they go from here.
