Helping hand for Joe & Stacey
Spende geschützt
On Friday April 24th, Joe was on his way to work and was in a bad car accident. He was taken via ambulance to Stroger Hospital Trauma Center, with both rib and foot fractures, a lung laceration and collapsed lung. Because of the Covid virus, Stacey and their family were unable to see Joe. During his stay at Stroger he had multiple chest tubes and underwent frequent testing with no improvement. On Wednesday the decision was made to have him transferred to Christ via ambulance in hopes of avoiding potential lung surgery, and have him closer to home. After 3 more days in the hospital, Joes condition improved and he was stable and finally discharged without surgery. He is currently home with his girls however, he has long road to recovery in front of him. Do to his injuries, he will be unable to work for sometime. Between losing their primary income, the 9 days of hospitalization and two ambulance rides, we were hoping to ease their financial burden, so Joe can focus on his recovery. Do to the amount of people who reached out and offered their help, we thought this was the best route.
Thank you, Joe & Stacey appreciate all of your support.
