Helping Emmanuel's Family

Daniella Alvarez is a long-time and well-loved employee of Serenity in the City. It is with a heavy heart that we share with you - This past December her four-year-old son, Emmanuel Urrea, was diagnosed with a rare malignant sarcoma in his kidney that has aggressively spread to his femur and pelvis. He is receiving wonderful care at Dana Farber, women and children’s hospital, but at this time, we know that Emmanuel will require chemotherapy and radiation for at least the next 1.5 years.

Daniella is unable to work at this time due to the complex medical needs of her son including transportation to the hospital 7 days per week. Daniella’s husband Edison was also recently injured and has not yet been cleared to return to work - he is currently home and helping with their 8-year-old son Matthew. We know Daniella is very proud and would prefer not to ask for help. We also know that she has no immediate family in the United States and Serenity feels it is our obligation as her extended family to ask for help on her behalf. Anything you would consider giving to this beautiful family in need will be greatly appreciated.
