Nurse Laura Adams.
Iam a friend of Laura and have been for many a year, a little insight to Laura's current situation is detailed below.
Laura was suddenly admitted to hospital on Friday evening, whilst driving to work, she had to pull over due to having severe pains in her head, blurry vision, pins and needles in her arm with a general unwell feeling.
She got medical help and was shortly afterwards admitted to hospital. After tests and care from the nursing team Laura was told she had suffered a brain heamorrage, more tests got carried out and today Laura has been given the news that they have found a Brain Anneurism, she is lucky to be here with us today.
This has came as a shock to Laura and everyone who cares for her, Laura has practiced mental health nursing for 7 years now a healthy and fit 34 year old.
Laura has more tests to go through to decide what course of treatment will be carried out so she will not be working and away from her career for a while with no solid income.
As a friend of Laura's you could not meet a more loving and caring person she would go over hot coals to help anyone and has done many a time.
Laura worked 50 hours a week during our current pandemic to care for others even through the loss of her Mum Anne just a year ago.
The needs of others have always came first to her.
Laura lives to work and she does her job well, she lives alone with her 2 fur babies who are spoiled beyond belief.
Iam asking that anyone who knows Laura or even if you don't and you are able to give to please do so to help Laura with finances over this next chapter in her life, no one is certain what she may be up against in terms of recovery and length of time she will be off work but she is in the best place just now getting cared for by the amazing team at neurology in southern general.
To have her fit and healthy and back to being herself is priority.
Laura is on 0 hour contract so will not qualify for full sick pay helping her out financially will save her the worry about finances and eleviate some pressure from her already confused and worried state of mind.
