Queridos amigos y vecinos.
Han sido muchas las aportaciones que hemos recibido para ayudarnos a resolver nuestros problemas económicos tras la tragedia sufrida. Tras mucho pelear, El Ayuntamiento de Madrid se ha hecho cargo del entierro de Eliana. Quiero que quede claro que todas las aportaciones, que tanto agradecemos, van destinadas a comenzar una nueva vida con mis dos nietos. Necesitamos un lugar donde vivir y un gran empujón económico para que la Comunidad de Madrid permita que por fin los niños vivan conmigo y salgan del centro de acogida.
Queremos agradecer de corazón toda la ayuda, la solidaridad y el movimiento vecinal. Sin vosotros estaríamos perdidos.
De nuevo mil gracias en estos momentos tan tristes.
***updates to the campaign (a message from Eliana's mom):
We've received many donations to help us resolve our economic problems after the tragedy last Friday. After a lot of fighting
with the the Town Hall of Madrid, they've decided to pay for the funeral costs for Eliana. I want to make it clear that all donations, of which we are all thankful for, will go towards starting a new life for my two grandchildren. We need a place to live and a big economic push so that the Community of Madrid will release the children to me and they can leave the foster care home.
We want to thank everyone from the bottom of our hearts for all this help, solidarity and neighborhood movement. Without you, we'd be lost. Again, a thousand thank you's in these difficult times.
I've just gotten the news that the father of two of my students in a poor area of Madrid killed their mother last night in front of them. They desperately need 3000 euros to be able to take her out of the morgue and bury her. Please donate what you can. I can not include a photo of the children as that is not permitted by law in Spain, so I have posted a photo from a Valentine's celebration we had at school, as no children can have their image posted.
Acabo de recibir las noticias de que el padre de dos de mis alumnos en una zona pobre de Madrid mató a su madre anoche frente a ellos. Ellos necesitan desesperadamente 3000 euros porque ahora ella esta en el anatomico forense y se esta recaudando dinero para poder sacarla YA y enterrarla. Por favor dona lo que puedas. No puedo incluir una foto de los niños como no está permitido por la ley en España, por lo que he publicado una foto de una fiesta de San Valentín que tuvimos en el cole, ya que ningún niño puede tener su imagen publicada.
