Hurricane Irma Caribbean Relief

Donation protected
Hurricane Irma affected the Caribbean as well as the state of Florida this past week.  Although Florida was hit by Irma as a Category 2 to 4 (depending on location), many Islands of the Caribbean were hit by it's full Category 5 force with winds up to 185mph.  Some of these islands include St. Martin, Barbuda, and Anguilla where the people there were devastated;  most losing everything of the little that they owned.  At least 19 people have been confirmed dead in the Caribbean from this terrible storm.  The island locals really need your help in rebuilding and getting back on their feet.  As many of you may know I personally have family down in these islands.  These are good people who have even taken care of my American  friends that have traveled down for vacation showing them that "island love".    Although they are keeping in good spirits, the locals need any assistance that you can give at this time.  The island has already been looted and supermarkets, pharmacies, and shops are empty.  Soon all the food and water that was saved up in each local household will run out and crime against each other will be the result.  This is the natural course of things with any disaster of this sort with lack of resources.   The situation will worsen here over the next months to years as alot of the economy and employment was driven by tourism.  As a result of the storm, tourism will cease until the island is rebuilt causing many to be unemployed to add to their troubles.   The money collected here will help to pay for the shipping costs of supplies that we have collected and are continuing to collect to send down. Depending on the amount collected we can also help repair homes for those whose homes were uninsured.  The money collected will be directly withdrawn by myself.  I will do an assessment of the supplies that we have collected in hand and what is still needed.  So far from the in hand donations we have collected alot of clothing and shoes.  However we are still in need of food products and baby products.  This will be bought with the money collected and distributed between St. Martin and surrounding islands.  The items shipped will be insured and will be collected at the port by my aunt who is secretary for the President of St. Martin.  I will be personally traveling down in November to the islands and will update everyone on the progress at that time.   If you would like to donate items of food (can goods, seasonings, salt, sugar, pastas, etc), medication, bath products, oral hygiene products, feminine hygiene products, batteries, baby products, or any other items that you can think about please reach me via email at [email redacted].  I can even come to your home  or arrange to pick up the products from you.  Whatever is most convenient.  If you cannot donate funds or items please please at least share this gofundme.  Every share counts.  Thanks in advance and God Bless.
