Please help support Zosia Grochot and her family while she fights to get back a normal and healthy childhood. A few months ago, Zosia’s childhood was placed on hold when she had to undergo an intracranial operation to remove a very rapidly growing tumor. While the operation was successful, it brought to light some unexpected challenges with a lot of uncertainty ahead, which was the start of her complex medical journey.

Zosia was diagnosed with a rare medical condition, that up until the present day, doctors are unsure how to treat. Zosia has a condition where her body is producing tumors all over her body affecting some internal body structures and impeding her ability to walk without pain. Zosia has had multiple surgeries, procedures, infusions, transfusions, and treatments with various forms of medicine and still no concrete answers. While the doctors and her parents search for answers, Zosia’s childhood is on hold. This brave little girl is a true fighter and faces all these challenges with good spirits. Instead of playing and being a normal kid, she is spending her time in hospitals and doctors appointments which no child should have to do. Due to her current medical state, Zosia cannot do the things she loves to do: dance, run, ride her bike independently, and play sports with her friends. All her energy is directed towards fighting through the pain, hospitalizations, imaging, infusions, therapy sessions, and continuous doctor’s visits with a long road, still ahead.

While her parents search for answers, by seeking help from physicians all around the US, the financial burden on the Grochot family is immense. They recently found a doctor in Colorado who has a treatment plan, and is hopeful that he can help Zosia. She will have to travel to Colorado every few weeks and stay for a few days to receive treatments. The cost to travel for treatments, medical bills, taking time off from work, and subsequent care is overwhelming. With a long road ahead, Zosia will need ongoing care for the unforeseeable future, which is why any financial support from friends, family, and their community will allow the Grochots to focus on Zosia and her treatments without worrying about the bills that keep rolling in. The Grochot family’s main goal is to get Zosia back to a healthy little girl and do this while maintaining a -as close to normal- life as possible while navigating the challenges that face them.
