Help little Zebi Johnson beat Leukemia
Donation protected

On Saturday, January 20, 2024 Heather and Brian received the heartbreaking news that their sweet 3 year old Zebi was diagnosed with B Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (B-ALL). There is nothing that can prepare a parent for such news and everything since that day has been a whirlwind for them. Heartbreaking days at the hospital include, blood transfusions, tests, chemotherapy, medicines, spinal taps, bone marrow extractions…. and the end is not near. Zebi and her family are asking for your support.
About Zebi: Any who have met Zebi can bear witness to how bright and sweet she is. You also quickly learn that your baby talk is not really required with this particular 3 year old. Though she is not the kind of child that demands attention, it's true that she seems to just get it naturally everywhere she goes. A silly sense of humor and an easy smile to match it are part of her charm. Prior to her chemotherapy treatments her likes were many: riding her new Christmas bike around the house, playing imaginative games with her sisters, building with blocks, going to the park to swing, going to the beach and singing to her favorite songs. She likes the Frozen soundtrack, The 80's Ghostbusters theme song, and even some Lady Gaga.
The treatment process will be an extensive three years long battle. The medical expenses and all the things associated with caring for a child in cancer treatment are adding up fast and will continue to do so.
After a few months of Zebi's treatment, Brian was let go from his job, which not only added more financial strain to an already difficult situation by removing his wages, but also means that Zebi's health insurance cost is no longer being covered. This alone is another $2053 per month, not to mention the co-pays and uncovered complimentary therapies.
In this time we are asking for any amount of donation that your heart is willing to give to help their family as they go through this extremely difficult time. Your donations will be put towards helping with: medical bills, out of pocket integrative doctor visits and therapies, last minute family meals, basic daily expenses related to care, and additional therapies that are needed for the horrible side effects she is experiencing.
All thoughts, love, and monetary support are always appreciated.
They wish to thank those that have already stepped up by dropping off home cooked meals, helping with the housework, and little gifts to keep Zebi smiling.
